City Walking Tour: "Athens: past and present highlights"

This Athens city walking tour includes one of the most magnificent monuments of the world: the Acropolis. After ascending the sacred hill of the ancient Athenians, it is the time to stop and take in the perfect panoramic views that will fill the heart and mind with serenity. The walk continues with a tour around the beautiful «Neighborhood of the Gods». Strolling around the little alleys and admiring the authentic cubic houses decorated in brightly painted shutters and beautifully carved wooden doors is an opportunity that can’t be missed. Through the Anafiotika and Plaka areas, a narration of the past with a living of the present will prove the timelessness and the flow of life and existence.

The Acropolis Museum: a dive in the history

Exploring the new, modern and impressive Acropolis Museum with a dive in the history. Walking through the museum and learning amazing details about all the marble masterpieces on display under natural light. Seeing artifacts from Ancient Greece at the peak of its creative influence. Allow yourself to be captivated by the vivid narrations and the mesmerizing ancient Greek art. This tour will be a travel back in time to learn the past, understand the present and look forward to the future.

Day trip to Cape Sounio
Sunday, May 7th | 9:00-14:00 (TBC)
No one can leave Athens without visiting the Cape Sounio! A lovely daytrip to one of the most famous sites of Attica Region located just one hour away from the city centre. Following the coastline, we see all the southern suburbs of Athens and end up at the archaeological site for our visit; the 5th century B.C. Temple of Poseidon, dedicated to the ancient God of the sea, Poseidon. Visitors will learn why the Athenians considered this place sacred and important and why European travelers of the 18/19th century wanted to discover its myths and stories. The precipice is almost a 200-foot drop to the sea and offers the most astounding panoramic view of the Aegean to the visitors. The perfect way to end a beautiful trip in Greece is with this breathtaking view to leave all the worries behind and start fresh.
